Being Half Naked Isn’t Enough Anymore

There’s been a lot of noise lately about why strip clubs feel slower than they used to. People blame the economy, the president, inflation, a recession — pick your excuse. And while some of that might be true depending on who you ask, it’s not the full picture.

What keeps getting skipped in these conversations is the human element — specifically, how the experience inside the club has changed.

This post is based directly on my upcoming episode of Strip Club Chronicles, and on a raw, off‑the‑cuff rant that’s been sitting on my chest for a minute fileciteturn0file0.

The Myth: “If I’m Half Naked, the Money Should Flow”

Somewhere along the line, a dangerous assumption crept into the club scene:

If I show up, look good, and exist — the money should come to me.

That mindset is killing the vibe.

I’ve watched dancers come in, take forever getting dressed, sit on their phones all night, barely talk to anyone, and still expect someone to swoop in and save the shift by dumping money. No conversation. No energy. No effort.

Just entitlement.

That might’ve worked years ago. It doesn’t anymore.

The Lore Is Gone — And Here’s Why

From a customer’s perspective, the club used to feel like an escape. Now?

Men are already exhausted before they even walk through the door. Life is heavy. Dating is transactional. Social energy is cooked.

So when they step into the club and get hit with the same cold, disengaged energy, the magic disappears.

When everything is sexualized online — OnlyFans, Instagram, premium snaps — being half naked alone doesn’t separate you anymore.

Entertainment does.

The Customer Is the Show

Here’s the part that ruffles feathers, but it’s the truth:

You might feel like the prize — but the customer is the show.

That doesn’t mean tolerating disrespect. That doesn’t mean accepting bad behavior. And it definitely doesn’t mean letting anyone cross boundaries.

What it does mean is remembering why clubs exist in the first place:

  • Interaction

  • Fantasy

  • Attention

  • Presence

If you forgot how to entertain, you forgot the job.

Pole Tricks Don’t Replace Personality

Pole classes are dope. Pole tricks look fire on camera.

But let me be real with you:

Most regular guys cannot tell the difference between an invert, a Superman, or whatever advanced combo you trained all week.

To them, it’s just:

Pretty girl on a pole.

If your pole class doesn’t teach you how to:

  • Talk to customers

  • Read the room

  • Work the floor

  • Control attention

…then you need a new class.

Because tricks without connection don’t pay bills.

Closed Mouths Don’t Get Fed

Sometimes, yes — a spender walks in and blesses you without effort. That’s great.

But that is not the norm.

Most nights require initiative.

You have to speak. You have to approach. You have to engage.

If someone doesn’t want to spend money on you, that’s fine. Nobody owes anyone anything.

But laziness isn’t a strategy.

Feedback Isn’t an Attack

Another thing that’s missing right now? Listening.

If you have a manager, DJ, or someone in the building who actually knows the game and wants to help — sit down with them.

Ask questions. Bounce ideas. Adjust something.

Maybe it’s the outfit. Maybe it’s the energy. Maybe it’s who you’re talking to.

Growth starts with awareness.

This Isn’t Anti‑Dancer — It’s Pro‑Game

Let me be clear:

I don’t support abuse. I don’t support theft. I don’t support disrespect toward women in the adult industry.

But defending the work doesn’t mean ignoring the reality of the business.

The dancers who adapt, engage, and understand people will always win.

The ones who rely on entitlement won’t.

Final Thoughts

This conversation needed to happen.

Not to shame anyone — but to wake people up.

If you disagree, that’s cool. I want the dialogue.
